She gave her life to Christ at a young age; however, she later backslid due to limited biblical knowledge and an array of traumatic events. She later married, but divorced her husband of sixteen years. For seven years, she lived the life of a immature backslider, was heart brokened and devastated.

Jackie Ruth Wilson birthed, Iraq, Their Mission, Our Journey, through the deployment of her son and godson to Iraq. While serving in Iraq, they faced death and numerous adversities. During that period, she suffered through the bereavement of five family members, including her mother, the late Evangelist'Prophetess Sarah Mae Wilson. Her daughter Tomika and her unborn child faced death. She suffered illnesses that caused her to also face death.
